Traveling to Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates on the Arabian Peninsula, is one of the most rewarding and intellectually stimulating trips that one can take. Not only is it a beautiful location, but it is rich in history and culture. The possibilities are almost limitless as far as what you can see and do while you are there, but here are some suggestions for those who need some direction.
Car Hire In Dubai
1) Visit the Dubai National Museum. The Dubai museum is located on the Al Fahidi Fort, which was built in 1799 to protect Dubai against invasions. It was converted to a museum in 1993 and now houses a vast collection of artifacts. Not only that, but it gives you a glimpse into the lives of those in the region with beautiful depictions of everyday life.
2) Shop and marvel at the Heritage and Diving Village, located at the mouth of a creek. Potters and weavers display their crafts and present tourists with Dubai’s heritage in a traditional village. The Heritage and Diving Village recreates the way Bedouin life used to be in Dubai.
3) Learn about the history of Dubai at Sheikh’s Saeed House, a listed national monument. Once the official residence of the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh’s Saeed House now has a collection of photographs, documents, coins, and stamps that are quite rare.
4) Witness the beauty of the Jumeirah mosque. This is the largest mosque in Dubai and it is a wonderful example of Islamic architecture. The Jumeirah mosque was built in stone in the medieval Fatimid Tradition. It is the only mosque in Dubai that allows non-Muslims to venture inside and this is only through the use of organized tours.
5) Travel back in time in Bastakia, and view some of the oldest buildings in Dubai. Here you can see traditional wind-towered, mud-walled houses. In the summer, the wind towers would funnel the sea breeze, protecting the people from the overwhelming heat.
6) View the camel race area where traditional sports take place and go to Sheikh Zayed road, where you can view the towers of the Dubai sky line and the Emirates towers. The Emirates towers are the 10th highest building in the world.
7) Find out why Dubai is called the “City of Gold” at the gold market. Purchase goods, or just view the splendor and beauty of jewelry and other gold goods. The Middle East is a huge market for gold with the world’s highest per capita sales. Dubai is the center of the region where more than 150 tons of gold are sold each year.
Wander over to a Souk or a traditional market to view gorgeous fabrics or just travel through the streets of Old Dubai. The Souk is located on both sides of the creek, but the best side to venture to is the Deira side. The spice market is a must-see and smell.
9) Ride a camel in the desert so you can experience the beauty and vastness of the region. While you are at it, climb the sand dunes too.
10) Learn about the culture and customs of the people at Hatta Village, which is considered one of the most ancient locations in Dubai. Hatta Village is completely fortified and contains thirty houses that have been restored to their ancient style. It contains a splendid, old mosque which is over 200 years old. Once you have grown tired from exploration, rest at the oasis and seating areas.
No matter what you decide to do in Dubai, the experience will surely be rewarding. Get ready to relax, and open your eyes to a culture that may be different from your own. Make sure you take in the surroundings, and enjoy it to the fullest. This is a trip you surely won’t forget.

Why sitting bored at home in your little space and reading, when many other places in this world can make you thrilled. It’s time for a vacation and you should be the big part of it ! Look for some very exciting ads or articles, wherever you may find them, which can give you the facts about some very beautiful environments, you can also personally afford visiting. It is so easy, to get out of your home, following the route, worked out by your local travel agent. Some hours later you can already easily arrive. You should really find out, what are the attractions in this area and get some hints about good restaurants close to your hotel, or addresses for big shopping centers, movie theatres - you name it. So, when you are done in the late afternoon with your daily swimming, surfing and sunbathing, you have still more left to experience.
How do you now wisely choose your travel destination correctly, so you get to the right place?
You should go and view from outside several travel shops and find out, if they look for you attractive enough,so you would like to arrange your travel with them. Maybe I’m a bit picky, but for me plays the decoration in a travel shop somewhere a big role. Because I’m comparing their used imagination, with their ability of having (or not) some incredible travel offers available. I always make my personal travel arrangements only in a very attractive place, where I can feel the real thrill and can get really spiny about Hawaii, Acapulco Mexico, or whatever my biggest dream might be. But I do not say “more expensive” ! In such a store you will much more easily find the destination you really like, and all the needed arrangements fit just perfectly together, so as the price might be completely fine as well.
Don’t hesitate or play around, with booking, buying or paying it the same day !
The best place, the most beautiful room to the right time are available right now, so why slip away trying to come out, because of booking and paying a bit later. It might not be available anymore and you can feel bad, because of that. For an entire year you might be stuck, not have gotten your most desired hotel room. You should talk a bit with your family already during the year, where they would like to go for a vacation, or whatever they like most. Then, one day you can surprise them all, with the present of having booked and paid for the special vacation destination of their dreams.

Backpacking through Europe is an inexpensive way to enjoy a pricey area of the world. However, that does not mean you don’t have to do some budget planning prior to departure. Backpacking Europe can cost a lot or a little depending on your travel style, how long you plan to travel, and when you are going to travel. Here are some tips for planning how much backpacking in Europe will cost for you.
Pre-Departure Costs
These are the first backpacking Europe costs you need to keep in mind when planning your trip. Without paying for these things first, you aren’t going to be able to set off on your trip. Depending on where you are flying from and when you are flying, the cost of your plane ticket will vary. You also need to estimate how much your rail pass will cost you. Furthermore, it is advisable that you invest in travel insurance in case of medical or other emergencies.
You will also need to make sure you have a valid passport. This can take a little while to process so make sure you get one plenty of time in advance. In the U.S., the passport fee is $85 or so. Also make sure to get a good backpack for your trip. Get one fitted at an outdoors store. Don’t think of purchasing one online in spite of how good the reviews are because your body type will determine how comfortable a backpack will be for you. A backpack will be about $100 to $250 of your backpacking Europe cost.
Also make sure prior to departure that you determine whether you need to apply for visas in any of the countries you are visiting. The visa applications will take time and money so be ready. You’ll also want to look for a guidebook for the regions you will be visiting. There are some guidebooks geared towards Europe as a whole. A good guidebook will cost less than $30 and it will help you plan how much your backpacking Europe trip will cost.
Expenses While Traveling
Backpacking Europe will cost you a minimum of $60 to $75 per day. You might think that this sounds like a lot but you’ll realize that it isn’t much at all once you get over there. It is important to remember that it is better to go for a shorter amount of time and spend more money than try to stretch your dollar too much in order to stay longer. Sitting around at your hostel is no fun. Living expenses alone will cost at least $60.
As you can see, backpacking Europe costs a lot less than traveling as a mass tourist but it isn’t necessarily that cheap either. Follow these tips so you can plan a hassle-free trip and never worry that you will run out of money. A lot of planning budget planning may seem tedious but it will make your trip easier and you’ll end up spending less money in the end.

Rio de Janeiro is not popular only for the Carnival, the one-of-a-kind beaches or the beautiful women; it is also popular because of the unique nightlife. There are dozens of bars and pubs in Rio which are 100% full every night with people who enjoy spending time with friends and listening to all sorts of music. With the approach of the 2010 Rio de Janeiro Carnival and in addition with the 2010 World Cup, Rio will become the center of attraction and you can imagine what will the bars be like – loud music, interesting talks about the carnival, soccer and many other interesting subjects discussed over a cold beer and good food.
The nightlife in Rio de Janeiro has a lot to offer: strip clubs, street parties, bars, clubs, live concerts, themed parties and many more. The most fun is in bars where from time to time they organize special parties with contests, prizes and many more. You have to see it for yourself in order to fully comprehend why Rio de Janeiro is more than the Carnival. For the gay and lesbian, the nightlife has plenty to offer – Rio de Janeiro is the place where different people from various cultures and beliefs come together to have fun and relax over a beer and a pizza.
One of the most important bars in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the Balcony Bar which many consider to offer the best beer in the city. The front ground floor of the building is completely opened out, with only several structural columns required to hold up the building. In front of the bar (as with most of the beach bars), there is a wide covered area that accommodates roughly 30 tables and chairs. The outside area of the bar is used more for dining. Walking inside the bar, the place is a little more rowdy, a popular meeting place for a few cold beers, a pick-up joint as well as a favorite of Germans that are staying in the area. But being in Rio de Janeiro, people of many nationalities come at the bar for a good time, making it a great place for meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions.
This is one of the few bars in the world that offers no more than 45 different kinds of beer while the regular ones in the area offer only 4 so if you are looking for variety – the Balcony Bar is the place to go to. From all of these beers, not all are national beers as they offer a small variety of German, Dutch and English beers. The variety of food is not that great but it comes at a good value – a pizza will do the trick – after all, which among us does not enjoy a hot and spicy pizza?
All things considered, Rio de Janeiro has one of the most fascinating nightlife’s in the world and the Balcony Bar seems to be the main attraction where people come and serve one of the 45 varieties of beer over a nice dinner with friends and good music.

Independent budget travel is becoming more and more popular. If your backpacking around the world, the idea of making money along the way would have crossed your thoughts, a little extra money on the road could see you traveling for much longer… Nowadays the internet is in every corner of the globe and it’s becoming easier and easier… There are many different methods depending on how much work you want to do or how deeply you want to integrate into a foreign country. A great and FREE place to start is in Travel writing. While your backpacking around the world you will of course form your own observations and opinions, so share them with other travellers and make a little money along the way. If you like this idea then heres a few options that I’ve found:
Keeping a Travel Blog: This way is perhaps the most involved but it can pay off if your willing to do a little hard work. Starting up your own travel blog couldn’t be easier. There is a wealth of great resources available on the internet to help with getting started, monetization and optimising. This approach requires more Administration and you will need to be a writer, a marketer, deal with advertising and website design… But I’ll say it again, the rewards can be big. Some travel bloggers make in excess of $3000 a month! I keep my own travel site about Backpacking Around the World on a Budget which has helped me make money while I travel the world.
Writing for other Travel Websites: This is possibly the easiest way to make money on the road, improve your writing skills and get right into the countries you travel through. Sites like Matador and Boots n All will pay anything between $25 -$50 for short articles, that’s not a lot but look at it like this - if your in a country already then why not pick an angle and write a story about it, what is there to loose? Also it will almost certainly get you off the tourist trail and into the heart of the place.
Teaching English: Again there is a wealth of resources available on-line about this but the best bet is to get accredited with a recognised company like TEFL - the best placements often go to TEFL/TESOL certificated people. This option is more for the long term but it will give you the chance to really integrate into a community. It would be a great way to pay for your travels while you backpack around the world, also you will make a difference to the people you meet.
Using Your Own Skills: This is something most people forget, they leave home not expecting their current skills to apply… Not the case! Look at hairdressing for example, most western travellers won’t want to deal with the language barrier at a local hair stylist and instead let it get big and bushy… But there’s plenty of money to be made at busy places like guest houses for a keen backpacker on a budget…
This is definitely not comprehensive but it’s a starting block that should be considered by any backpacker or traveler looking to keep a tight budget. Use these ides with saving money like using CouchSurfing.com and you will see your budget stretch much further than you expected.
